Changing the name of the Philippines is not Possible - Gov Padilla of Nueva Vizcaya.

Representative Alejano

Governor Carlos Padilla of Nueva Vizcaya believes that the House Bill 5867 served by Magdalo Representative Gary Alejano is not possible on passing the congress.

Governor Padilla said from an interview of Bombo Radio that this is not the right time to talk about the House Bill 5867 by Congressman Alejano.

For Padilla, it is better for Alejano to think for the name of the country first and he said that the process of changing the name of the country takes a lot of time, like changing the name of an individual person.

Congressman Alejano wants to establish a commission that will make a comprehensive study for changing the name of the country so that the filipinos can have their own identity because the word Philippines cames from the name of King Philip II of Spain that colonize the Philippines for 377 years.
